Our Story
Leaders Excellence had its first meeting with a select group of founding members and fellows at the Harvard Faculty Club in 2014, the same year as it was incorporated in Harvard Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts. At this meeting, the president Dan Hoeyer laid out the vision for Leaders Excellence.

Based in Harvard Square, Leaders Excellence is a premier provider of online leadership development programs and an exclusive online club. Through our membership with the Harvard Square Business Association, we maintain a close relationship with the Harvard community, demonstrating our commitment to excellence. Furthermore, as a proud member of AACSB International, we uphold the highest quality standards alongside the world’s leading educational and business institutions.
The Leaders Excellence membership framework is designed to foster knowledge sharing and personal growth by providing access to relevant resources. It aims to empower driven professionals to build a strong network of fellow leaders, encouraging long-lasting and beneficial business relationships. Membership includes the prestigious title of MLEâ„ – Member of Leaders Excellence, a service mark approved and registered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, under education class 41 and business management class 35.
Supported by world-renowned thought leaders, deans, chairs, professors, and academic affiliates from prestigious universities like Yale, MIT, Stanford, Wharton, and Harvard, Leaders Excellence is a hub of academic and professional excellence. Notable honorary fellows include Philip Kotler, known as the father of modern marketing, and professors from universities such as Stanford and Harvard. While several honorary fellows are from Harvard Business School, Leaders Excellence maintains its independence from Harvard University.
