Philip Kotler is known as the father of modern marketing and is a true legend in this field. Professor Kotler has published 86 books and over 150 articles in leading journals, several of which have received best-article awards. Kotler’s book “Marketing Management” is the most widely used textbook in marketing around the world. As a professor of Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Kotler has significantly contributed to Kellogg’s success through his many years of research and teaching there. He is the recipient of the most prestigious marketing awards and has been inducted in the Management Hall of Fame. He was the first recipient of the American Marketing Association’s (AMA) “Distinguished Marketing Educator Award” and the Sheth Foundation Medal for “Exceptional Contribution to Marketing Scholarship and Practice.” He has traveled extensively globally advising and lecturing at many companies about how to apply sound economic and marketing science principles to increase competitiveness.
